ALECTRONA

ALECTRONA was the goddess of the sun. It is thought that she might have also been the goddess of morning or ‘waking from slumber’.

ANTHEIA

ANTHEIA, one of the goddesses known as the Graces, was the goddess of flowers, blossoms, vegetation, and human love.

APHRODITE

APHRODITE is the goddess of Love, Beauty, and eternal youth. She was born from the foam in the waters of Paphos, on the island of Cyprus.  She is married to Hephaestus.

EOS

EOS was the goddess of the dawn. She and her siblings Helios (the Sun) and Selene (the Moon) were Titan gods. Eos rose into the sky at the start of each day, and with her rays of light dispersed the mists of night.

HEBE

HEBE was the goddess of youth and the cupbearer of the gods who served ambrosia at heavenly feasts. She was also the goddess of young brides, and an attendant of the goddess Aphrodite.

HEMERA

HEMERA was the primordial goddess of the day. She was a daughter of Erebos (Darkness) and Nyx (Night) and the sister and wife of Aither.

HYGEIA

HYGEIA was the goddess of good health, cleanliness, and sanitation. She was a daughter and attendant of the medicine God Asklepios, and a companion of the goddess Aphrodite. This is where the word ‘hygiene’ comes from.

NYX

NYX was the goddess of the night, one of the primordial gods who emerged as the dawn of creation.

PANACEIA

PANACEIA was the goddess of curatives, literally ‘All-Cure.’ She was one of the daughters of the medicine god Asclepius.

PEITHO

PEITHO was the goddess of persuasion and seductive speech. She was a handmaiden of Aphrodite and one of the gods of marriage.

UDEA

UDEA was the goddess of vitality. Born from the union of Ova (goddess of Beasts) and Pelios (god of Emotions). Commonly worshipped by the sick and ailing, Udea is the patron of healers and doctors.
